Happy Tuesday everyone!
As most of you will know on Monday I will be starting my Masters (GULP!). I have just finished up my full time job to return to college to do a masters. The masters I have decided to do is very full on so I need to make sure I am extremely organised. My job was also a busy one so I always needed to ensure I was on top of things as well. These are some top tips I found helped me stay organised.
1. Always use a planner/Agenda
I ALWAYS use a planner! It is such an easy simple way to keep track of your appointments, meetings and your to-do list! It ensures you get everything done. I always make sure to invest in a pretty planner and make I am happy with the layout of the inside. Shop around for a nice planner.
2. Make a to-do list.
This is something I do everyday in work! You have to learn to prioritise activities to ensure the most important things get done first. Look at the deadlines and this will help you make your list.
3. Pick your outfit the night before.
This really saves me so much time in the morning. I take my clothes out of the wardrobe and hang them up near my bed so in the morning I just shower and my clothes are already picked. I now get panicked if I forget to pick my clothes!
4. Set time limits to tasks!
It took me so long to actually implement this task in to my work day. I would spent copious amounts of time replying to emails especially on a Monday morning. Now I give tasks a time limit. For example Monday morning I will allocate 30 minutes to prioritise urgent emails and to reply, once 30 minutes is up I will move on to the next urgent task on my list! The rest of the emails can be answered throughout the day.
