Starting a masters

Happy Saturday guys.

Over the past few weeks you may have wondered where I have been? My latest blog post was all about applying for a masters/post-graduate course. This was deliberate as I was about to begin my journey and begin a new masters in Smurfit Business School which is why I have been MIA. I just finished week 3 of my new masters and while I am absolutely loving it, it has been a whirlwind.

About the masters. . .

The particular masters I am doing is called MSc. Marketing Practice, so essentially it is a marketing masters but with a practical element to it. All the work we do is for real clients. The interview process to get in to this particular masters was extremely intense so much so I didn’t think I got in. For this masters, there is two intakes, one in September and one in February so it is a rolling masters, basically it never ends. The first two weeks of the masters was ‘induction’ which was an intense two weeks. I have been describing it as Marketing boot camp to people as it seems to sum it up well.

After the two weeks of induction we joined with the September intake and will begin working on real projects. Now that Induction is over the blogs will be able to resume.

I just wanted to share a short blog with you to explain where I have been.
